Yurtfarm in Australia

Mike Shepherd opened The Yurtfarm 20 years ago on 1174 acres in Goulburn, New South Wales. He aims to teach city kids practical living skills through his summer camps held on the yurtfarm. In addition to chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, goats, cows, horses, sheep, ferrets, and alpacas, the farm has more than a dozen yurts, including:

  • a kitchen yurt
  • a bathroom yurt
  • a craft yurt
  • a workshop yurt
  • 2 toilet yurts
  • accommodation yurts
  • 4 bush yurts (hidden away amongst the rolling hills)
